Dr. Sibongile Mafu is a professor at UMass Amherst. Her research focuses on exploring the vast biochemical diversity underlying plant natural product chemistry. Further understanding of the biochemical diversity underlying natural plant product chemistry can be translated into useful agriculture or biotechnological applications including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, flavors and fragrances.
